Facilities
The facilities of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Wheeling are modern and accessible. The current facility was built in 1973 with an addition in the early 1990s and an elevator installed in 2003.
The building includes a sanctuary with capacity of about 280 including the balcony. The sanctuary is equipped with an up to date sound system. There is a fellowship hall downstairs that will seat about 100 comfortably and a nicely appointed kitchen. Children’s Sunday school rooms are located off of the fellowship hall with adults meeting in the parlor upstairs and in the fellowship hall (behind moveable walls.) First Christian boasts a large children’s church area and a fully-equipped nursery staffed with a professional nursery worker. Offices are located upstairs off of the large open narthex that faces the big round window.
The main floor and lower level are wheelchair accessible. A wheel chair is available for use if needed. Hearing devices are available near the entrance of the sanctuary. Other accommodations may be made upon request.
