The Health Ministry at First Christian Church

The Health Ministry

"He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace."

Luke 8:48 NRSV

Jesus healed not only the lame, but those who suffered in mind and spirit as well.  The Health Ministry of First Christian Church strives to bring healing to body, mind, and spirit.  Our certified parish nurse, Joyce Scott, R.N., offers consultation to the congregation on a wide variety of health-related issues.  Our Health Ministry also works with the Ohio Valley Health Ministries Task Force.

Prison Health Care Resolution Reported in DisciplesWorld Magazine

The resolution calls for churches to advocate on behalf of prisoners for adequate health care (as guaranteed by law.) Dr. David Kappel and Rev.
